______________________________________________________________________________

Topical anti-inflammatory cream is often used as an alternative treatment for treating inflammation related ailment. Although this form of product can help us improve our condition, and is considered safer than an oral medication drug, the usage should be limited.

Nowadays, anti-inflammatory oral medication drugs are the most common prescribed medications in treating inflammation and pain due to exercise (such as sore muscles), arthritis, osteoarthritis and other related condition. They can cure one illness fast, but create other kinds of health problems.

Improper usage or overdose of this medication can cause side-effects such as liver problem, kidney problem, ulcers, heartburn and other gastrointestinal complications, higher bleeding tendency, headache and dizziness.

Every year, more than one hundred thousand patients are hospitalized in the United States because of gastrointestinal complications caused by them. In addition, researches show that more than sixteen thousand cases of deaths happen every year among patients with arthritis.

This is one of the reasons why people look for other alternative solution such as topical anti inflammation cream that can be applied directly to the affected area.

Does This Topical Anti Inflammation Cream Really Work?

Based on the study that was published in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, topical anti inflammation cream is proven to help ease the soreness of the muscles that happens after a rigorous workout or physical activity. Many Individuals or athletes who get injury and muscle strains during the sports benefit from it.

In many countries, the topical non steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) cream has been routinely prescribed to treat local pain. It works as a pain relief on the mild to moderate pain. Side Effects

Study also indicates that this topical anti-inflammatory doesn’t seem to give us the same side-effects as the oral drug because only about 1% of the medications will be absorbed into the bloodstream. However, the long-term effect of using it should be studied further.

There are some cases that someone got killed because of the excessive use (overdose) of this type of  anti inflammation cream. That’s why, its usage  should be limited and used for temporary treatment only.

Unlike the topical NSAIDs cream that can only be gotten with a prescription from a doctor, the natural anti-inflammatory cream can be obtained easily over the counter without prescription.

I recently injured my arm by sleeping it on wrong all night and now it is very sore when I move it in certain directions. I tried Icy Hot cream but it didn’t help with the pain whatsoever. That was my first experience with a topical anti-inflammatory cream and I’m sorry to say it was not a good one. Hopefully some of the other ones out there are more effective.

Wow, it’s shocking to read that someone actually overdosed on anti-inflammation cream and died! It just goes to show that all medicines are serious business and one needs to follow the instructions carefully. I use these once in awhile, but never experienced any problems. Thanks for the warning!
